On the road
2015 has seen the team loading and unloading moving trucks quite a bit. We abandoned our long time home in Edwardstown to settle into a cosy temporary space in North Adelaide. Which despite the long commute for some of us, was worth it for the excellent food in close proximity. Food is (very) important, that cannot be disputed, however we needed a space which better reflected the way we work and our brands personality. Also I just selfishly wanted more time for surfing in the morning….
A move ‘back’ to the beach
Digital Noir started it’s life on Moseley Street Glenelg. It was a small office shared with CBProductions, but we were a stones throw from the beach and used to roll the 2 man kayak down after work and catch Squid. The coast seems to have a draw for the business and we once again found ourselves gravitating to the inner southern suburbs. We found a brand new office building owned by Haines Medical which was just perfect for us. Situated on 28 Paringa Avenue Somerton Park (a slightly longer walk to the beach) we moved into two stories of fresh carpet and clean walls begging for some cool artwork
Business as (un)usual
In our last two homes, we never had the freedom to express ourselves creatively into the space itself. Here at Paringa HQ, we have full reign to decorate and stretch our legs. So far, we have setup a very comfortable meeting / lunch area downstairs complete with delicious coffee courtesy of Nick and a Netflix account for important lunch ‘meetings’. We got some brilliant signs printed up at Signs Of The Time which stare out over the hills along with 2D Sam. Upstairs we have all settled into open plan yet cozy workstations. We have the proximity to be able to chat if we want or chuck on the Bose Quiet Comforts and get stuck into some serious work.
We are here for the foreseeable future, which should allay some clients’ fears that we were liable to pack up and run off to Mexico anytime (not just yet….) We would love to have your smiley faces down for a coffee or a game or two of Ambush anytime!
