Otitis Media Guidelines by Menzies

A focus on functionality for Otitis Media promotional website for Menzies.

What is Otitis Media?

Otitis Media is a middle ear infection that disproportionately affects indigenous Australian children.

If left untreated, it can cause life-long impacts and hearing loss for these high-risk children.

Why a new website?

The website we created acts as a marketing and informational tool for the Otitis Media Guidelines App, educating clinicians on the importance of Otitis Media treatment.

It also provides links to educational resources and holds important information for the parents of children who suffer from Otitis Media.

How does the app help?

The Otitis Media Guidelines App was developed by Menzies School of Health Research to be used by clinicians to assist in the identification and treatment of the infection.

It also acts as a resource guide and communication tool for these clinicians.

Unique design & functionality

It was important to Amanda and Joanne from Menzies that the purpose and functionality of the app be clearly and simply explained to potential users.

The use of images was especially important in explaining the functionality of the app, so we created a realistic depiction of the app on the home page that would change screens to reference the content as the user scrolled.

Easy to download

On the desktop version of the website, we created a QR code that clinicians can scan with their phone to download the app onto their device.

On mobile, a simple tap will take clinicians to the Apple Store or Google Play Store to download the app.
