Why a new website?
Lee-Marie and Shane from Paxton Constructions wanted somewhere they could showcase their portfolio of past residential renovation projects. They also wanted to use the new website as a lead generation tool, by capturing future project enquiries on a simple contact form.
All aspects of this project were completed while our entire team was working from home. This meant our initial workshop and discovery phase were done remotely as well. We used our time with Lee-Marie and Shane to get a better understanding of their vision, and creating a competitive analysis of other construction companies’ websites. This helps us to avoid any overused generic trends of the industry. We also created a moodboard to help with ideas around the look and feel of the website.
Here is where an awesome quote from Lee-Marie or Shane will go. Preferably about how confident they felt after our remote meeting. They were confident in our abilities after going through the layout of the site and seeing the research we had done on the industry before hand or sommin'.
Live Wireframe Session
Thanks to Invision’s Freehand tool, we were able to roughly wireframe the website structure in a video call with Lee-Marie and Shane. This allowed them to give feedback in real-time, ensuring we were all on the same page before we got stuck into design work. We’ve found that this process significantly reduces feedback loops and design changes, which means we can invest more time into other aspects of the site like animation flourishes.
The finished product
A stylish, editorial style responsive website that showcases Paxton’s projects and gives new customers an easy way to reach out.
