The best SA has to offer
SATC came to us with a vision for their new app. With a range of unique content, they needed an easy way to provide personalised info to visitors to the state. A simple way to promote tourism for interstate visitors, as well as encourage local exploration.
The idea was simple: Ask a question, receive an answer!
“Where should I eat dinner on Rundle Street?”
“What’s on this weekend in Adelaide?”
“Where are the best beaches on the Eyre Peninsular?”
Anything you need for your holiday – right at your fingertips!
As with all our projects, we started with a personalised workshop and Discovery Phase; designed to streamline everyone’s vision for the app, extract the highest priorities and build a strong foundation for the project. Working closely with SATC to understand their users was key, from early on in the project it was agreed that an Apple Watch app would be perfect for users, placing all the info they could need right at their fingertips! Or at least on their wrist.
“SA Travel Mate” is a personalised, well-informed local tour guide. iOS and Apple Watch users can ask questions about South Australia and the app will produce your answer – from advice on the best holiday destinations, places to eat and things to do, to the more practical elements of planning your SA trip.
The result is a simple and beautifully-designed digital experience with a clever bot, “SAM” working behind the scenes to ensure all info is current and up to date!
SA Travel Mate is free and available to the public on Apple Watch or iPhone – download it here!
