The iPhone X is here and no matter how many times I look at it, I can’t make up my mind whether I love or despise that ‘notch’ or ‘chin’ at the top of the iPhone X display. I feel like if the ‘notch’ went all the way across the top this would have been more practical, but if anyone can get away with this, its Apple.

Never the less, this presents an opportunity for us designers to get creative with UI. I have a few ideas of my own but browsing the internet, the great design community has come up with a few gems already.

What do you think about that notch? Is it Apple getting too cute or is it a fresh and welcomed addition to the iPhone. Personally, I welcome it as the next great creative UI challenge!
